Falcons over Texans, 31-17.

The Falcons are rolling. Julio Jones is playing like the best receiver in football, and the Atlanta defense is making noise as well. It’s just hard to see a Ryan Mallett-led Texans team walk into the Falcons’ nest and win.

A guy to keep your eye on in this one is Leonard Hankerson, who has been garnering much attention within the Falcons’ team and fan base as of late. The former Redskin has leapfrogged over veteran Roddy White on the depth chart.

Bills over Giants, 26-16.

In my AFC East analysis earlier this week, I elaborated on this prediction:

The Bills are simply the better team in this game, and they will prove it. They may not be ready to beat the Patriots, but the Bills are equipped to defeat the rest of the AFC East and just about every other team in the NFL. As long as Tyrod Taylor continues to play like a franchise quarterback and Karlos Williams keeps making a name for himself, the rest will fall into place for the Bills’ offense.

Only three starting quarterbacks have yet to throw an interception in 2015: Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers and Eli Manning, surprisingly. Expect Eli’s luck to end in Week 4 when the Bills’ complicated blitzing schemes get the best of the Giant’s offensive line and Manning makes some questionable decisions. Who knows, maybe the rookie Ronald Darby will add another interception to his pile.
