Usually, we here at Musket Fire come up with bold predictions about the New England Patriots game on Sunday. But since the Patriots have the unfortunate Week 4 bye, they won’t be playing this weekend. To fill the gap, we’re going to make score predictions for all the regular season games taking place in the NFL on Sunday and Monday.

Jets over Dolphins, 20-13.

Earlier this week, I took a deeper look at the AFC East and talked about this Jets-Dolphins game: Analyzing the AFC East Entering Week 4. Here’s the gist of what I previously wrote:

Division games throughout the NFL are always good contests, and the Jets-Dolphins are no exception. After a rough Week 3, I see Ryan Fitzpatrick making some gutsy throws to his top receivers, Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker, to move the chains and keep drives alive. Chris Ivory will log his first touchdown of the season en route to a 125-yard performance against the Dolphins’ underwhelming run defense.

It won’t be all milk and honey for Fitzpatrick, however. The Dolphins’ sole touchdown on the day will be a pick-six by none other than—you guessed it—Brent Grimes. Another rough day rushing the ball will put Ryan Tannehill in sticky situations, and that spells trouble for the Dolphins.
