AFC East. 1-0. New England Patriots. 1. player. 47. <p>Until the Patriots lose a game in 2015, they will reside at the top of these NFL power rankings. The defending Super Bowl champions must be considered champions until some team comes along and musters the strength to beat the Pats.</p> <p>In the season opener, the Patriots didn’t beat around the bush. Tom Brady came out firing, completing 78 percent of his passes. Most of those throws went to his favorite targets, Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski. The Pats have a winning formula when those two guys receive the bulk of the workload in the passing game. Now it’s on to Buffalo, which will be a tough game.</p>
