Atlanta Falcons
NFC South, 1-0
Holding DeMarco Murray and Ryan Mathews to 13 yards was not something many saw happening coming into this matchup. The Falcons deserve a nod for sorting out the Eagles’ unorthodox offense and sticking with their gun on offense, Julio Jones. 141 yards and two touchdowns on nine receptions is a good way to start the season.
As opposing defenses key-in on Jones that much more, look for the Falcons to unload some work onto Leonard Hankerson’s desk. The Falcons have been keen on Hankerson all summer long. His lackluster stint in the nation’s capital could be forgotten by midseason.
