In advance of today’s cut deadline, the New England Patriots made a bunch of roster moves yesterday, as they continue to inch closer to the 53-man roster limit. After those moves, I believe they are at 65 players, which means 12 guys have to be cut by 4 pm.
Here is a wrap-up of what they did yesterday:
Patriots waived following players: TE Jake Bequette (injury settlement), RB Tony Creecy, WR Zach D'Orazio, WR DaVaris Daniels, G Ryan Groy

Patriots waived following players: OL Caylin Hauptmann, QB Ryan Lindley, OT Chris Martin, LB James Morris, DLs Casey Walker, A.J. Pataiali'i

Patriots officially signed DB Justin Coleman (Tennessee). An undrafted free agent, he had been with the Vikings.

The Pats will have to make 12 more cuts today, although there is some give and take with LeGarrette Blount’s suspension, and certain players possibly starting the season on the PUP list.
Now, here is my final 53-man roster projection, after all of today’s moves.
