AFC West. Last week: 26. Oakland Raiders. 26. player. 28.
The Raiders are so close to getting over the hump, you can just feel it. They have their quarterback, and he’s got weapons at his disposal. Against the Cardinals last night, both Amari Cooper and Brice Butler displayed impressive after-catch ability, picking up gains of 36 and 30 yards, respectively. However, Derek Carr has to get them in the end zone better, and he can’t muff a screen pass like he did last night ever again.

Don’t look now, but the Raiders’ defense is becoming a pretty thick unit. Khalil Mack is coming of age in the front seven, and the secondary is holding its own. Free agent addition Nate Allen from Philly picked off Carson Palmer twice on Sunday night.

Next: 25. New York Giants
