NFC West. Last week: 2. Seattle Seahawks. 2. player. 36.
Much of the Seahawks’ 16-15 victory over the Chargers can be attributed to winning the special teams battle. Tyler Lockett embarrassed the Chargers’ punt coverage unit by entirely switching fields, and Steven Hauschka sent a 60-yarder to win the game.

Did you see the way Wilson evaded Donald Butler? Michael Vick in his prime was the last player who could maneuver in the open field like that. For the same reason that the team ranked at No. 1 will stay there until they lose a game, the Seahawks will be staying put at No. 2 until they falter in 2015.

Next: 1. New England Patriots
