Rookie cornerback Charles Gaines played-lights out against the Buccaneers, picking off a pass and breaking up two others. Then he suffered a hamstring injury, making him the third Browns corner with hammy issues after Joe Haden and Pierre Desir. The rest of the defense played well too, sacking Bucs quarterbacks six times and only allowing seven points.
And how about that nice toe drag for the hometown hero, Brian Hartline? Keep in mind that the Ohio native and Ohio State product is just a few years removed from back-to-back 70-catch, 1,000-yard seasons.
