AFC South

Indianapolis: 11-5

Houston: 9-7

Tennessee: 6-10

Jacksonville: 4-12

This race is between the Colts and the Texans, two teams that are literally built in complete opposite fashions. Indy has a dynamic quarterback surrounded by great weapons, but his defense has more holes in it than swiss cheese. Meanwhile, Houston has a rocky quarterback situation, mediocre receivers, but a defense that boasts arguably the best front seven in the league.

At the end of the day, I’m going to give the edge to the Colts in the division, because quarterback trumps all in today’s NFL. You can make a case that Andrew Luck is the third best signal caller in the league right now, and when you combine that with all of his weapons, that unit will be enough to give the Colts another AFC South crown.

I absolutely love the Texans, as there are a ton of Patriots connections there, but until they fix that secondary, and get a quarterback that is more than an “above average” game manager, they won’t be able to overtake that loaded offense in Indy.
