New England Patriots Fans Organize “Free Tom Brady Rally” At Gillette Stadium
Die-hard fans of the New England Patriots are so fed-up with the defaming effects Deflategate has wreaked on their star quarterback that they have organized a “Free Tom Brady” rally at Gillette Stadium. It will be held on Sunday, starting in the late morning and lasting until the early afternoon. For more details, check out the event’s Facebook page.
As of this writing, about 425 people have declared that they will be attending this rally. The mainstream sports media has picked this story up, and it appears to be the juiciest serving of Deflategate we will have this weekend.
If nothing else, this event is an indication that extreme fandom knows no boundaries. At the root of Deflategate is the question of Brady’s legacy, and clearly, a segment of the Patriots’ fan base has been angered enough to create this event. The Facebook page describes the rally as an effort “to protest the unjust football arrest of half God half man Tom Brady”.

He may be receiving criticism from the majority of the footballing world, but Brady can rest easy at night knowing that there is a group of fans so devoted to his legacy. All the power to them.
The Patriots’ fan base will probably catch some flak for this considering the fact that it’s Memorial Day weekend. Hopefully, veterans in attendance are honored in some way, shape, or form.
If you’re looking to kill time in Foxboro on Sunday, be sure to stop-by Lot 4 of Patriot Place. You will be a witness to one of the most bizarre, yet original displays of fandom in NFL history.
