Jackson is a big, powerful mauler on the interior, which is exactly what the Patriots need right now. Even if they re-sign Dan Connolly, having that depth and competition at left guard will make the entire offensive line much better. Jackson’s ability to pave holes as a run blocker will be key in the physical AFC East, and I think he will not only make the team, but emerge as the starter at left guard by week four at the latest..
