47. This selection began a string of picks by the Patriots that set this draft apart from the rest. Some draft experts had Flowers pegged as a second round talent, and Belichick and company managed to land him in the fourth round. Flowers is a powerful edge rusher, who can get after the quarterback, but also make his presence felt in the run game. I don’t think Flowers will start in New England, because they are absolutely loaded up front, but when you work him into a rotation with the likes of Chandler Jones, Rob Ninkovich, Jabaal Sheard, Dominique Easley, and Geneo Grissom, he will make his share of impact plays..
