5. The Pats Will Be Scrutinized, And Later Revered

This is not a bold prediction. This is the third guarantee in life behind death, and taxes. Everybody criticizes Bill Belichick’s decisions on draft day, but later, they realize he was just being the genius that he is (except for drafting receivers early). Subtle moves like drafting Julian Edelman even when they had Wes Welker, or stealing Bryan Stork in the fourth helped build last year’s championship team.

Perhaps Belichick will trade up for a player that most didn’t like, or maybe he’ll pass on a guy that seemed like a sure lock Pro Bowler. Whatever it is, you best believe the media will be hounding him, until, like always, he proves them wrong with yet another 12 win season, another AFC East title, and perhaps another Super Bowl.

I can’t wait.
