4. The Pats Will Not Select A Cornerback Until At Least Day Three
After losing Darrelle Revis and Brandon Browner in free agency, a lot of Patriots fans have been clamoring for the team to make cornerback the top priority in the draft. However I don’t think they need to do this, especially with the talent that is available on the board. There are much more offensive and defensive lineman that could contribute this year than cornerbacks, and because of that, I don’t think the Pats will select a corner until at least day three.

If (and that’s a big if), the Patriots decide to draft a corner, it won’t be until very late, when they feel like it would be the best value pick available, and they have already addressed the bigger needs on the roster. I have faith in the trio of Malcolm Butler, Logan Ryan, and Kyle Arrington, especially with the best safety in the league in Devin McCourty roaming in the back. Cornerback is not a huge need.
