4. Receiver Depth

Unlike past years where receiver depth has been thin, the Pats are actually fairly loaded at wideout. The group of Julian Edelman, Brandon LaFell, Danny Amendola, Brandon Gibson, Rob Gronkowski, Scott Chandler, and Tim Wright is arguably the best in the league in terms of total talent and depth.

However even with that depth, I think New England could look to add a development prospect or two in the draft. This year’s class is LOADED with receiver talent, so I’m sure the Pats can find a nice little project in the later rounds. They don’t need more top options for Tom Brady in 2015, but looking to the future, getting someone to make some plays along with Edelman and Gronk would help this offense tremendously.

Bill Belichick has been getting around to a lot of the pro days over the last few weeks, and I bet he is checking in on the receivers to look at in the later rounds.
