WR Brian Tyms: Let Go
Tyms seems like a genuinely good guy, but he doesn’t bring enough to the table in my mind to sign him to an extension. He had one nice play back in the early portion of the season against Buffalo, but then completely fell off the map. The Patriots can do better at the receiver position in the draft, or poaching other free agents.

DT Sealver Siliga: Re-Sign
When you have a secondary as dominant as New England’s, teams are going to try to exploit you on the ground, and that is where Siliga is needed. Vince Wilfork is getting up there in age, and Siliga is kind of like a poor man’s Wilfork in his prime. He is big, strong, and extremely tough to move, and was key to the Patriots slowing down Marshawn Lynch in the Super Bowl. The Pats definitely need to address this position further in the draft and such, but bringing back Siliga is a start.
WR Greg Orton: Let Go
I pride myself on knowing this Patriots roster from top to bottom, but I drew a blank when I came across Orton’s name on New England’s list of free agents. After further review, Orton is a big receiver out of Purdue, but hasn’t done much in his career. I think he will be gone in 2015.
LB James Morris: Re-Sign
I liked what I saw from Morris in the preseason, and I want him back in 2015. He may not crack the active roster, but stashing him away on the practice squad makes for solid depth behind Dont’a Hightower, Jamie Collins, Jonathan Casillas, and hopefully Jerod Mayo.
