Happy New Year!

The final week of the regular season didn’t bring to many surprises. The Chargers losing out on the Postseason may be the one “Upset” for the week. Mostly the teams
that needed to (Seattle, Green Bay, Denver, Pittsburgh) took care of business and those that were locked into a seed had more mixed results. (notably, the Patriots)

Now that the regular season is in the books, I am going to swap up the normal groupings I use (Top 10, Mediocre Middle, Trailing 10) in favor of a 4 tier system
that sums up the season of those teams with-in the tier.

Without further adieu, let’s look at this weeks power rankings heading on the Wildcard round.

The Contenders: These teams have top records and earned (for the most part) first round byes. They are all dangerous opponents.

I would not be surprised to see any AFC/NFC combo of them in the Superbowl.
