Patriots Vs Dolphins Part 2

Patriots fans will finally get to see how much their team has progressed since week one. This Sunday, the Patriots take on the Miami Dolphins in a sequel match up after the Dolphins beat the Patriots 33-20 in the opening game of the season.

Let’s recap that opening game. The Patriots played sloppy all around. The running game was terrible, the defense didn’t play well, and even Tom Brady looked more like a mediocre quarterback, then the Hall of Fame player he really is. However, the biggest problem was the Patriots’ offensive line, it was horrendous. Brady was sacked four times for a combined loss of twenty-three yards, and the offensive line could not stop Cameron Wake from penetrating the line and getting into the backfield.

Now, let’s look at what the Patriots have done since that week. New England has now gone back to being one of the most high powered offenses in the NFL. According to teamrankings.com, they score an average of 30.8 points per game, which is third in the NFL. Brady has gone back to being the quarterback he is every year, and the running game has picked up thanks to players like Jonas Gray and LaGarrette Blount. The defense has one of the best secondaries  in the league, they held Peyton Manning to only twenty-one points in a blowout game. Finally, the offensive line has fixed their problems. Brady has only been sacked twelve times in the last thirteen games, and no one has gotten through the line as much as Wake did in the first week.

The Patriots have come a long way since week one, and this game will be a test to see just how much better they have gotten over the season. Plus, if the Patriots win this week, then they will clinch the AFC East division title, and a playoff spot. After all is said and done on Sunday, I believe the Patriots will defeat the Dolphins soundly in New England vs. Miami part 2.
