START: Peyton Manning, QB – Denver Broncos

Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

If this game were in Buffalo, we probably would see a close matchup. But since it’s up in Denver, I expect Peyton and company to run the score up on these Bills. Yes, that pass rush is lethal, but I think the Broncos will use the running game to buy Peyton some time, and in turn he will light up that weak secondary of theirs.

SIT: Any Patriots Running Back Not Named Shane Vereen

The Patriots’ running back situation is a fantasy nightmare. You have no idea what they are going to do each week, so honestly, you should just do the opposite of your instinct (George Costanza style). But in my mind, I think this will be a big passing game for the Pats, as San Diego is one of the worst pass rushing teams in the league. Aside from Shane Vereen, I don’t think there will be many opportunities for New England Patriots’ running backs.

SLEEPER: Mike Evans, WR – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Yes, the Bucs are going up against the ferocious Detroit defense this week, but as the Pats showed a few weeks ago, the Lions’ secondary is far from elite. With that said, Mike Evans might not get a chance to torch the secondary, as the Lions’ pass rush could be dominant in this one. High risk, high reward for Evans this week. Be wise.
