Ryan Allen

(On if it was the best punt of his career)
“It was a good operation. As far as I’m concerned, I was happy with the way I handled things and the way they covered. That was an outstanding job by our cover team. That was a good operation by the unit as a whole.”

(On if he hits punts over 70 yards in practice)
“Yeah, I think so. When the weather gets a little bit worse, you don’t have an opportunity as much to get those. But yeah, I’m taking it for what it is. It was a good operation.”

(On if that punt was comparable to a touchdown celebration)
“We celebrate good field position. That’s what we celebrate.”

LeGarrette Blount

(On if it was easy to play for the Patriots right away because he was with the team last year)
“It’s kind of difficult considering the fact that I only came in a few days ago. So, I was used to hearing and listening to different terminology. But for the most part, as we went along, I started picking things up. So, it’s not bad.”

(On if his touchdown celebration was an ode to his former teammate Antonio Brown)
“Yeah, that was to my homey, man. [Antonio Brown] is always going to be a lifelong friend of mine. That was a little tribute to him. Like I said, he is always going to be a close friend of mine.”

(On if he was expected to be used as much as he was Sunday)
“I was prepared for anything. I came in and they told me, ‘Just be prepared for whatever we use you for.’ So, I just made sure I was ready.”

(On how he was able to be so effective)
“The offensive line just went out there and did their job. They did a really good job. They were opening up some nice spaces for me to run through. When you get into the second level you have to break a couple tackles and that’s what makes the long runs. But for the most part, [the Lions] played well, we just played better.”

Brandon Browner

(On effectively shutting down three strong quarterbacks over the last three games)
“It’s a game plan, man. The coaches believe in us at the corner back spot, man, and set up the perfect match ups for us. You know, usually, I take the big guy, which is usually always, you know – I get up for it and you put a shut down corner on their shiftier guy and it seemed to work.”

(On the good team defense)
“It goes hand-in-hand, you know, [the coaches] bring the game plan in and a lot of times we’re just bringing forward pressure and, you know, that says a lot about what those guys are doing. You know, when our linebackers can cover running backs and tight ends, so, you know, we got good team defense.”

(On if this was a difficult task facing two big receivers in Calvin Johnson and Golden Tate)
“Most definitely, but, week-in-and-week-out, we’ve had Calvin and Alshon [Jeffery], you know, we had T.Y. [Hilton] and Reggie Wayne last week and these quarterbacks we’re playing are not too shabby themselves, so the thing is, man, we trust in our abilities and the game plan that the coaches draw up for us, so it’s just been working.”

(On how much easier it is for the defense when the defensive line can put pressure on the quarterback)
“Like I said, it goes hand-in-hand. You know, put us in man-to-man and [the coaches] trust that we’ll lock up and [won’t] let them guys loose. Force quarterbacks to hold the ball a little longer with tight defense, tight coverage, and you know, more than likely, those guys will disrupt them or get the sack.”

James Develin

(On the depth at running back)
“Any kind of depth is great. I’m happy to have LG [LeGarrette Blount] back. He’s a hard, powerful runner and it’s fun to block for somebody like that. He gets downhill and he really makes it tough to tackle him and I love blocking for a guy like that.”

Julian Edelman

(On if the team is improving each week)
“Yeah, that’s what we strive for each and every week. To go out and take things from the game, practices, and try to do them better the next time if we didn’t do them good enough, and try to build on the strengths. We got a group of guys in here that are trying to get better every day, so it’s fun to work with.”

(On being versatile and getting better)
“I don’t know how we have to, but if we can, it definitely makes it tougher on the opponent. I haven’t watched film yet, but I’m sure there are things we could have done a lot better, individually, route detail, making some tougher catches, making some easier catches, and getting open. There is a lot we can do to get better and we’ll try to do it this week.”

(On how practice affects the team)
“We’re a confident group, but our confidence comes from our practice execution and our preparation, so we definitely have to go out there and keep trying to get better. That’s how you build confidence through the week. That’s how you’re able to sleep at night. If you execute in practice and when you go do it in the game, it helps out. But we definitely have a lot to do better.”
