Fantasy Football: Week Twelve Staff Must Start, Must Sit and Sleeper Picks

START: Andrew Luck, QB – Indianapolis Colts
Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports
Luck struggled against the best secondary in football last week, so this week’s matchup with the Jaguars could not come at a better time for the young star. Look for Luck to go to the air early and often against the porous Jacksonville pass defense, especially with Ahmad Bradshaw out. T.Y. Hilton will give Luck a much needed boost after last week’s stinker against the Patriots.
SIT: Golden Tate, WR – Detroit Lions
I think the Patriots will put Darrelle Revis on Tate this Sunday, and double Megatron with Brandon Browner and Devin McCourty. Because of this, I doubt Tate will put up any good numbers. Revis is the best cover corner in the game, and it is extremely rare for receivers to do well against him when they are manned up.
SLEEPER: Shane Vereen, RB – New England Patriots
Vereen was completely forgotten in last week’s beatdown of the Colts, as Jonas Gray was the featured back. But this week against a tough Lions front, I don’t expect New England to try and pound the ball with Gray. Instead, look for the shifty Vereen to expose Detroit’s weak linebackers, and have a huge day in the passing game.
