It’s All About Luck
Brady, Manning, Rodgers…Luck?
I think Andrew Luck deserves to be mentioned in the conversation when talking about the best quarterbacks in the game. Now, I don’t believe he is on the level of a Brady or Manning yet, but is he the fourth best signal caller in the game? I have no problem saying he is with the way Drew Brees has been playing. Luck elevates the play of everyone around him, as he has led the Colts to a 6-3 record with an extremely porous defense.
Luck has the Colts offense rolling right now, as Indy currently leads the NFL in points per game, yards per game, and passing yards per game. Luck has thrown for the most yards in the NFL (prior to yesterday’s games), and he has a cool 100.3 passer rating through nine games.
This kid has it all. When he gets the Colts moving, it is a lot like watching Tom Brady and Peyton Manning maneuver their way through a defense. Sometimes you just have to get out of his way, because there is nothing you can do to stop it. Luck has all the tools needed to go down as one of the all-time greats, and I firmly believe that is exactly what he is going to do.
Of course I’m being a little over-the-top here, but it’s only Monday. I’ll save my Colts bashing for a few more days.
