Fantasy Football: Week Ten Staff Must Start, Must Sit and Sleeper Picks

START: Ronnie Hillman, RB – Denver Broncos
Greg M. Cooper-USA TODAY Sports
Hillman made his points last week against the Patriots as Peyton Manning and the Broncos put up empty stats and lost to Tom Brady and the Patriots (I never get tired writing that). Hillman did not run the ball very effectively, but the Broncos gave up on him early when it became clear that the Patriots’ offense was not going to be stopped by the Broncos’ defense. Expect Denver to swing the pendulum and run the ball repeatedly. Plus, they play Oakland and you start everyone you have when they play Oakland.
SIT: Ryan Tannehill, QB – Miami Dolphins
Tannehill is flying high after the Dolphins shellacked the Chargers. Tannehill is being snapped up in every league he was still available as the big bye are upon the fantasy football world. So why sit him? Detroit. The Lions defense has finally fulfilled its vast potential. Ndamukong “Donkey Kong” Suh is nearly unblockable, Ezekiel Ansah is one of the best interior linemen no one knows, and DeAndre Levy is one of the best linebackers in the NFL. The Dolphins still have weak spots on the offensive line. With Glover Quin, Rashean Mathis and Darius Slay holding down the secondary, team are just not scoring on Detroit. Do not bet on Tannehill cracking the defense.
SLEEPER: Matt Ryan, QB – Atlanta Falcons
What happened to Matty Ballgame? A hot start to the season had fellow owners offering him to me in trades for LeSean McCoy (I didn’t take it…I wasn’t born yesterday). Ryan has cooled off as Atlanta went from sleeper to the cellar. That said, he is playing Tampa Bay. Tampa Bay gave up 300 yards and two touchdowns to Brian Hoyer. Ryan put 56 earlier against Tampa Bay this year. He may be a one week start…but Ryan is a sleeper to start his week.
