1. Offensive Line
I can’t narrow it down to one player for the offensive line, because there is no one specific guy that needs to play well. Every single lineman that checks into the game tomorrow for New England has to do his job, or else the Pats will lose this game.
From Nate Solder, all the way down to rookie Bryan Stork, the biggest key to winning this game is getting solid push off the line and holding blocks in the run game, and giving Tom Brady enough time to work in the pocket. Solder had an awful game against the Chiefs, and he got benched because of his poor effort. Hopefully Solder can overcome his struggles, and return to his elite play of 2012 and 2013.
As for the rest of the line, it all comes down to winning each individual 1-on-1 matchup. If Dan Connolly messes up his assignment on the left side, and Jordan Devey doesn’t do his job on the other side, Brady has absolutely not chance at making something happen.
Everybody needs to do their job tomorrow night, or we might see a repeat of last Monday night.
