Is anybody else sick of preseason football?
I think just about everybody is ready for the regular season to get started, which is why there is not much hype surrounding tonight’s contest against the Giants. The starters won’t be playing, as most of the players on the field will be guys just fighting for a roster spot.
However there is still a bit of intrigue that comes with this game, particularly at the quarterback position. Rookie Jimmy Garoppolo is expected to start, and play most of, if not all of the game. That leaves Ryan Mallett’s status in the air, as this opens the door to a potential trade before the season begins.
