Kyle Arrington

(On playing both safety and cornerback)
“It’s just one of those deals where [you play] wherever the coach feels confident in putting guys on the team. We have the utmost confidence in ourselves to get the job done.”

(On if there are similarities in playing safety and slot cornerback)
“As a DB [defensive back] in general, you have to know what everyone is doing. Whether it’s corner, safety or the nickel position, you want to know all the positions. It’s beneficial for you [to know all the positions], so whether you’re at safety or corner, it’s not all new to you.”

(On if he’s been able to learn anything from Devin McCourty at the safety position)
“Devin is the ultimate teacher and one of our leaders on the team. He does a great job getting everyone in position, so he’s definitely someone you can learn from.”

(On if playing safety changes his approach on defense)
“There’s a lot more responsibility [playing safety]. You have to be in tune with the corner on your side and the linebackers. You have to be a little more vocal, but like I said, most guys know a lot of the positions on the field.”

James Develin

(On scoring a touchdown)
“Whenever my number is called and I get the opportunity, I’m going to go out there and do my best and try to get in the end zone like in that case and just try to get out there and help the team win.”

(On his comfort level being more experienced with the Patriots’ system)
“I still got a lot of work to do and still can improve in every facet of my game. I’m never going to stop working, trying to get better and trying to become more valuable and help the team.”

(On if he enjoys playing the fullback position)
“I really do, I really do. I enjoy playing fullback and enjoy playing football. It’s just a great game and I really love contact and I like hitting guys out there. It’s fun being a fullback for the New England Patriots.”

(On if he feels safe on the team)
“I’ll never say that I’m secure. I hate feeling comfortable and I never want to be content and I’ll always go out there and work hard and, you know, try and improve and gain some value.”

Jimmy Garoppolo

(On how he felt after getting extra reps in practice this week)
“I felt good going into this game, had a good week of practice. Going against another team always brings out the competitive spirit in everyone, so I thought our whole team had a good week this week.”

(On if he was happy with his performance in the game)
“There’s plenty of stuff to correct. I’m still a rookie, still learning as we go. There is always going to be things to correct, but overall a good game and good to get a ‘W.'”

(On when he found out that he would follow Tom Brady)
“They kind of just threw me in there, it was kind of a last-minute thing. But you always have to be ready. Whenever the opportunity comes you have to take advantage of it.”

(On if he learns as much from a successful possession as he does from a failed one)
“Yeah, every opportunity you’re out there, they’re showing different things on defense, we’re running different things on offense. So they’re all different opportunities to learn in different ways really. Every chance that you’re out there, you really have to take advantage of it.”

(On if he was glad that the offense played well no matter the personnel groupings)
“Yeah, we were clicking well tonight – 250 yards rushing, I think it was. As a whole, that’s great. It shows how we’re getting tougher as a group and those guys did a great job tonight.”
