4. The Refs Have Gone Wild

NFL football is an amazing spectacle. There is a reason it is the most popular sport in the country. But with all of these penalties being called, it is beginning to get extremely hard to watch, and I am about as die-hard as they get.

There were a whopping 21 accepted penalties in last night’s game, with a majority of them being iffy defensive holding, or illegal contact calls. This is not really the refs fault, as they are just doing what they have been told. For some unknown reason, the NFL has decided to place a bigger emphasis on the physical contact in the secondary, which has led to all of these flags. If you can find one person that agrees with this sentiment, please bring them forward, because I am dumbfounded at this new way of thinking in terms of fouls.

This better calm down by the time the regular season starts, because it not only makes the game tough to watch, but it affects how the game is played as well. Rule changes are supposed to help the league, not make it worse.
