5. S Patrick Chung

Coming into training camp, one of the top positional battles we would be watching was the strong safety position. Devin McCourty is locked into the free safety spot, but there has been a lot of questions regarding who will start next to him. Originally we all assumed Duron Harmon would take that role, but after a few weeks in, it appears that we have a much bigger battle than we initially anticipated.

There has reportedly been a rotation at the safety spot during this last week of practice, with Patrick Chung possibly taking the lead as of Wednesday. From I can remember, Chung is a physical safety, who is solid against the run, but absolutely putrid in coverage.

Tonight Chung will get plenty of time on the field, making this another perfect opportunity for him to continue his advance up the depth chart.
