1. Brandon LaFell

Tom Brady has been carving up the Washington secondary over these last two days, and while his top two targets are unsurprisingly Julian Edelman, and Danny Amendola, newly signed Brandon LaFell has also been making quite a few plays for Brady. The quarterback joked yesterday that it was nice having the bigger LaFell out there, because of “some of the little pygmies out there like Julian and Danny”.

Funny, but true.

Amendola and Edelman are terrific players, and matchup nightmares, but it must be nice for Brady to have a big target (other than Gronkowski) to rely on. LaFell has provided a solid outside presence thus far in practice, so now I will be watching to see if he can do that in a game-like setting.

The Redskins defense is not very good, so this will be an excellent opportunity for him to showcase his talents. If the Patriots can get the outside passing game going to compliment their devastating between the hashes attack, they will be flat out lethal.
