Round Four, Pick 130

S Brock Vereen, Minnesota

I don’t know if Vereen will still be around at this point, but if he is, the Pats would be wise to snatch him up. CBS Sports has Vereen rated as the third best strong safety in this draft class, and deservedly so. He has the necessary tools to be a competent secondary player with the Pats, although it will take time. I don’t think he can come in and make an immediate impact, but since New England has Devin McCourty manning the back end, they have time to help Vereen move along.
