Round Two, Pick 62

TE Troy Niklas, Notre Dame

Because wouldn’t it be so Belichick to draft two tight ends in the first two rounds this week? Assuming Niklas is still available (which is a big if), I like the idea of double dipping at the tight end position. Niklas may not be as refined as Amaro as a receiver, but as a complete tight end package, he may end up being better. Can you imagine the trio of Gronk, Amaro, and Niklas all under Tom Brady’s control? Man, the opportunities are limitless. Yes, the Patriots have a lot of other needs, but getting back to the elite of the NFL passing game could be enough to get Brady that elusive fourth ring (that, and the addition of DARRELLE REVIS).
