Round Four, Pick 130: Storm Johnson (RB, Central Flordia)

The Patriots are in need of another running back in their stable, and while some have been shocked by the prospect of the Patriots taking a running back in the first four rounds of the draft, I’ve always been a big supporter of doing so. Storm Johnson is the pick here, and he should be able to come in, and swiftly take Brandon Bolden’s job away, and potentially send him packing. Johnson brings a power running game to the table, something the Patriots would like to regain since losing Blount to the Steelers. Hopeuflly he’d be able to share the heavy load with Ridley somewhat. He is also a solid pass catching back, and a very competent pass protecting back, always a valuable trait to have in a running back. Of course, he has had some fumbling issues in the past, but with the right combination, him and Ridley could keep each other fresh enough, and not force one or the other to be taking more carries than they would have to.

Other Options: RB Andre Williams, Brandon Coleman
