Round Five, Pick 161 (Via Green Bay): Kevin Norwood (WR, Alabama)
A thanks to one of our Musket Fire readers for helping turn on to Kevin Norwood as a player, in the comments after my first Patriots seven round mock draft. Norwood has some good size, and is an all round very reliable player. He’s trustworthy when is comes to broken routes, and busted plays, and knows what to do when a quarterback is moving and in trouble. He’s a very solid route runner, with some good speed, and while he may never be a top notch athlete, he makes do pretty well with what he has. He might not have the upside of a Brandon Coleman or Martavius Bryant, but he’s a very solid player, and could come in a provide Tom Brady a nice, reliable weapon when called upon.
Other Options: WR Jalen Saunders, WR Chandler Jones
