Round Four, Pick 130: Andre Williams (RB, Boston College)

A familiar face for Massachusetts people, Andre Williams out of Boston College brings a lot of great things to the Patriots running back stable. The Patriots clearly will miss LeGarrette Blount now in Pittsburgh, and have been in the mix for a number of high profile running backs like Maurice Jones-Drew and Knowshon Moreno. Andre Williams could give them that second multi-down running back behind Stevan Ridley, if they needed to rest him a couple downs, if injuries reared their ugly head, or if fumble problems continues to persist. The only problem that I see is that he’s not very useful in the passing game, and that’s something the Patriots would value very highly, and make me think if a player like Charles Sims was available here, he might be the pick. But regardless, Williams’ power is what would make him a valuable piece to the Patriots offense next year, and in the coming years.

Other Options: RB Charles Sims, RB Marion Grice
