With only a few days to go until the AFC Championship game against the Denver Broncos, here are the best and latest news and views surrounding the New England Patriots.

The rise of the Patriots running attack, led, surprisingly, by LeGarrette Blount, has had a knock-on effect on the tight end position, with players required to run block more, and pass catch less, as explored by this report from the AP via the Ventura County Star.

Fosters are also looking at the running game, and how Blount has gone from a tempestuous loudmouth to quiet, efficient performer for the Patriots – he’s letting his play do the talking.

Over at NFL.com, Gregg Rosenthal has been discussing the ever-changing Patriots offence, and how the team has adapted and adjusted to the injuries and inconsistencies it has faced this season, as well as how the game plan has been focused on the weakness of each opponent, rather than just ‘doing what we do’.

On the other hand, FOX are putting their thoughts out about how to stop the Patriots offence – the key of which is: hit Tom Brady as much as possible. Revolutionary concept, isn’t it?

There is another way to stop Brady and the Patriots from putting points on the board: give the quarterback a cold. Not that I’m accusing the Broncos of resorting to germ warfare, but the timing is convenient…

Over on defence, Jamie Collins has been getting a fair deal of attention after his standout performance against the Indianapolis Colts last weekend, and Bleacher Report have been looking at the Patriots defensive X-factor.

And one for the more fashion concious Patriots fan: Giselle Buncheon has been talking about life with Tom Brady, and the fact that she doesn’t own a hairbrush. So now you know.
