New England Patriots: Aqib Talib, Logan Mankins, Devin McCourty Earn 2nd Team All-Pro

The All-Pro team was announced yesterday, and while no New England Patriot earned a spot on that team, three players did earn a spot on the second team. Cornerback Aqib Talib, safety Devin McCourty, and left guard Logan Mankins all were recognized for their solid 2013 campaigns, in a postseason award that is much more prestigious than the lowly Pro Bowl.

I personally think that if Mankins was going to make this team, then his left tackle, Nate Solder, deserved a spot on it as well. Solder had a great season, despite missing a few games with a concussion. Talib and McCourty both made huge impacts on the decimated New England defense, and I wouldn’t have been surprised to see them land first team honors.
