1. Peyton Manning

Peyton played pretty bad this past week against the Chargers, and his Broncos fell easily, by a score of 27-20. This loss gave Tom Brady and the Pats a perfect opportunity to slide into the number one seed in the AFC (and possibly into the top spot of the MVP race for Brady), but another comeback attempt fell short, and New England lost to Miami. This allowed Manning to keep his spot at the top, and with upcoming games against the Texans and Raiders, I think he will finish the year at number one.
