68% completion percentage, 4,107 passing yards, 33 touchdowns, eight interceptions, and a 106.5 passer rating. If any other quarterback is putting up those kinds of numbers, then we are absolutely raving over how good of a season he is having. But since it’s Drew Brees, we just toss it aside, because we now expect him to have these kinds of seasons. He continued what has been an MVP caliber season, by beating down the Carolina Panthers this weekend, a team that many experts believed to have Super Bowl aspirations. A team also led by an elite, defense which Brees shredded Sunday night. He has the Saints in position to make another deep playoff run, and even though he continues to just fly under most people’s radar, he deserves a lot of praise for his level of play thus far in 2013.
