The Mac Jones era in New England might have ended badly, but it appears it's not something the quarterback is dwelling on with this new team. He was traded to the Jaguars earlier this offseason after Jerod Mayo and Eliot Wolf consulted with him regarding their plans to trade him.

They involved Jones in deciding where to trade him, and it just so happened that his hometown team was interested in acquiring him. Although he will be serving as a backup to fellow 2021 draftee Trevor Lawrence, Jones has made it clear he's happy to be home and out of New England.

In all of the posts the Jacksonville social team has posted of Jones, he looks like he's loving life and thriving in north Florida. One video of him dancing after a drill at OTAs earlier this week went viral, and now the first shots of him in a Jaguars uniform are making the rounds online.

More proof Mac Jones is living his best life away from the Patriots

The debut of the Mac Jones era in Jacksonville was made official on Thursday, as the quarterback posted the first photos of him in the famous teal uniform from a photoshoot with an 80s car.

It's a different vibe than what we've seen in New England, and it's another reminder of how much Jones is enjoying the fresh start down south. Plus, the caption is a nod to rapper Mike Jones.

Given how tumultuous his three-year tenure with the Patriots was, it's nice to see a more positive side of Jones since he was traded. No matter how you feel about him as a quarterback, it was hard not to feel bad about his experience with the team that drafted him, especially seeing him lose all confidence and optimism for the game.

It will be fascinating to watch what his career becomes post-Patriots. He's with a team that believes in his talent, even if it's only in a backup role, and it looks like Jones is embracing this new chapter.

Hopefully, it will continue to be a good move for him, and he will regain all he lost during his time in New England.
