#4 WR Julian Edelamn, Super Bowl XLIX: 9 catches 109 YDs 1 TD

In one of the toughest performances in Patriots Super Bowl history, Julian Edelman just simply could not be stopped.

Going up against the defending champion Seattle Seahawks and their vaunted Legion of Boom, Edelman proved uncoverable across the Cover 2 defense the Seahawks were so renowned for.

Edelman picked the Seahawks apart for nine catches for 109 yards and 1 TD. His first down catch on 3rd and 14 early in the fourth quarter with the Patriots trailing 24-14–one in which he took a vicious hit by safety Kam Chancellor–has been considered the turning point in the game. The Patriots would score touchdowns on this and their next drive, with the final score going to Edelman with 2:42 left to play in the game.

After Edelman became the man who stepped in for the prolific Wes Welker in 2013, his performance in this Super Bowl will be forever remembered by Patriot fans for his toughness, ability to make the clutch catch, and his passionate loyalty to the team following the team’s win.
