5. Scott Chandler

Yes, Chandler has certainly fallen off the map a bit in the Patriots’ offense as of late. He hasn’t caught a pass since Dec. 6 against the Philadelphia Eagles. In fact, Week 17 was the first time Chandler had even suited up since that Week 13 embarrassment.

But here’s the thing: Chandler has had more success against the Chiefs throughout his career than any other non-AFC East team. In three career games against the Chiefs, Chandler has racked up 159 yards and three touchdowns on 13 receptions. Not too shabby.

Patriots fans: Don’t be afraid of the Chiefs

Much like LaFell, Chandler is a surprise hero candidate in the Divisional Round because of the ripple effects in the Patriots’ passing game caused by the return of Edelman. With all these weapons back on the field together, it’s possible that Tom Brady will look for his 6-foot-7 tight end more often, especially in the red zone.

Again, the Chiefs’ pass defense is a force to be reckoned with, so production will have to come from unlikely places for the Patriots to win and advance. Put Chandler in that category.
