The NFL Draft is just days away, who will the New England Patriots be selecting?

With the 2017 NFL Draft just around the corner, the New England Patriots look relatively set to take the field in Week 1. After retaining key free agents Dont’a Hightower, Malcolm Butler, and Duron Harmon, the team can use the draft to address their future needs rather than replacing last year’s starters.

New England currently holds six picks in this year’s draft including two third-round picks, one fourth-round, one fifth-round, one sixth-round, and one seventh-round pick.

Although the Patriots don’t have many needs, they should consider adding depth to their front seven, in particular, the defensive end position. Rob Ninkovich is set to hit the open market after the 2017 season and the same goes for recently acquired pass rusher Kony Ealy.

Another position the Patriots should keep an eye on is defensive back. Safeties Devin McCourty and Patrick Chung will be 30-years-old entering the season, and the Patriots should anticipate the departure of cornerback Malcolm Butler after 2017.

With some needs on the defensive side of the ball in the near future, here is a complete seven-round mock draft for the Patriots.
