As you have probably heard by now, the New England Patriots have traded third-year center Bryan Stork.

Ian Rapoport was the first to deliver the news:

To those outside of New England, this may come as a surprise, but the seeds of this release were planted earlier in the preseason when Stork swung on a few Chicago Bears defensive linemen in joint practices. Earlier this offseason, Stork was ejected from a minicamp practice for a similar outburst.

In addition, keep in mind that Stork missed half of the regular season in 2015 on account of injuries, and his concussion issues haven’t been subsiding. Although he captained Florida State to a national title and then started for the Patriots in Super Bowl XLIX, Stork has been on the decline in the past year; this indicates the Patriots are ready for a new guy.
