NFL Week 12 Predictions: Patriots Edge Broncos

facebooktwitterreddit

Here are my week 12 NFL predictions:

Patriots 16 Broncos 13

It’s going to be cold and snowy, and defenses will rule the day. This won’t be a high scoring shootout that some might have expected when the schedule came out months ago, instead, the two best defenses in the league will be going toe-to-toe in inclement weather conditions. Pats because Brady > Osweiler.

Raiders 27 Titans 21

Before losing three straight, the Raiders appeared to be in position to make a run at the playoffs. Now, while it is certainly still possible, Oakland is going to have to go on a hell of a run to get into the postseason. Let’s see if Derek Carr is up to the task.

Chiefs 23 Bills 22

Kansas City has quietly been one of the hottest teams in football, and they might just make the AFC West interesting before this season comes to a close. The defense is playing well, and Alex Smith isn’t being stupid. That will be enough to get past the Bills.

Bucs 26 Colts 23

I don’t think either of these teams will do any damage in the playoffs, but both of them have a shot at getting in. The quarterback that turns it over the fewest times will win this one, and I’m taking the suddenly red hot Jameis Winston.

Giants 20 Redskins 19

Yup, this is a battle for the division lead. The NFC East is just awful this season, and I really couldn’t care less who comes out of that division, because they will get bounced quickly in the playoffs. The Redskins recently lost Chris Culliver for the season, and Eli Manning will take advantage.

Texans 27 Saints 24

Speaking of crappy divisions, here we have the AFC South on display, which somehow is worse than the NFC East. Houston is still right in the thick of the race for first, and they get a big win at home vs. Drew Brees and company.

Vikings 20 Falcons 16

Teddy Bridgewater and the Vikings defense have themselves in a very good position atop the NFC North, and a win over the Falcons would be huge going forward regarding their division title hopes. It will be fun to see if Adrian Peterson can get going against Atlanta’s number one run defense.

Bengals 23 Rams 17

Cincy stops their two-game skid at home against the Rams behind a defense that comes up with five turnovers…why not be a little bold?

Jaguars 23 Chargers 20

This is the definition of a crapfest. Except the Jags are only a game out of first in their division. Screw the AFC South.

Dolphins 26 Jets 21

As our friend Dave Portnoy said, the Pats killed the Jets.

Cardinals 37 Niners 17

Woof. This will be ugly.

Steelers 24 Seahawks 20

This might be the best game of week 12. The Seahawks are struggling this season, but they never go down without a fight at home. Pittsburgh has righted the ship behind Big Ben’s right arm, and I think we will be in for a fun back-and-forth matchup.

Ravens 17 Browns 15

Worst game of the season candidate.
