NFL Expert, Former Patriot Predicts Buffalo Bills To Win AFC East

NFL Network analyst, and former Patriot Heath Evans predicted every game of the 2015 season for the Bills and Patriots, and he has both of them finishing 12-4. Evans has the tiebreaker going to the Bills, which means that he has officially Buffalo to win the AFC East next season.

Are you kidding me?

I normally like Evans, as since he is a former Patriot, he understands how great Tom Brady and Bill Belichick have been, and usually supports them in big games. But this prediction is beyond ridiculous. First of all, how on earth are the Bills going to win 12 games? Evans has Buffalo winning their first 10 games, including one against New England. When I took a look at those 10 games, I have them winning five, possibly six of them. Evans then has them going 3-4 to finish the year, which is much more likely. When I make my predictions, I will probably have the Bills going 9-7, which is decent, but not even close to 12-4.

Here’s how I see the 2015 Bills: great defensive line, mediocre secondary and offense. That pass rush of theirs will be enough to win a good amount of games, and maybe even sneak into the playoffs. But you will not take down Tom Brady and Bill Belichick with a weak secondary, and an offense that will undoubtedly struggle to score points. I like Matt Cassell, but there is no way he can lead that offense to a division crown, especially when Brady’s offense is shaping up to be one of, if not the best in the league.

I believe the Patriots will win 13 games this year, which will not only be enough for the AFC East title, but it should give them home-field advantage throughout the playoffs once again. The Bills might squeak into the playoffs, but they will not replace the Pats as the AFC champs.
