New England Patriots Injury Report: Rob Gronkowski Limited, Dominique Easley To Play On Sunday

The New England Patriots have released their initial injury report for Sunday’s game, and there is plenty of positive news on the Patriots side of things.

Here is the injury report from Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald:

Rob Gronkowski has already made it clear that he will be ready to play on Sunday, although Bill Belichick hasn’t been as certain about it in recent interviews.

The bigger news to me, is the absence of defensive tackle Dominique Easley on this injury report. Easley has been dealing with knee issues for quite some time, and it speaks volumes that he is not listed. When healthy, Easley could be one of the most dominant interior pass rushers in the entire league, which would add another dimension to an already dangerous defense.

To make it close to official, Jeff Howe has reported that Easley will in fact play this Sunday.

There is a strong belief defensive lineman Dominique Easley will make his debut in the regular-season opener, according to a source. That notion was furthered today when Easley wasn’t listed on the injury report after sitting out the entire preseason to recover from a torn ACL in his right knee.

It is also good to see wide receiver Aaron Dobson not listed, as his presence on the outside will be key to the Patriots postseason success in 2014-15.
