The Patriot Way: New England Patriots News From Around The Web

Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘The Patriot Way’, your number one source to New England Patriots news and analysis from around the web.

In case you haven’t heard by now, tight end Rob Gronkowski will be playing this week against the Dolphins. This is terrific news for New England, as aside from Tom Brady, I think Gronk is the most important player on this team. Now the question will be how long can the big man stay healthy?

The Pats made a few minor roster moves yesterday in addition to finalizing their practice squad, as they claimed safety Don Jones off of waivers, and released offensive lineman Chris Barker.

Defensive tackle Sealver Siliga has been recovering from a wrist injury as of late, but according to Lee Schechter of ESPN Boston, Siliga will be ready to go on Sunday.

The Patriots also worked out long-snapper Kevin McDermott yesterday, as they still do not have a long-snapper on their active roster. It will be interesting to see if they decide to sign McDermott in the coming days.

And finally, Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller has released his week one power rankings, and he has the Patriots second to Seattle. I think this is a good spot for the Pats, as they have one of the most talented rosters in the NFL, including the best signal caller in the league. This should be a fun season.
