Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘The Patriot Way’, your number one source to New England Patriots news and analysis from around the web.
After learning of the Patriots initial 53-man roster, ESPN Boston’s Mike Reiss went back and took a look at how he predicted it earlier in the year. He interestingly had Josh Boyce as a “lock” earlier in the year, which goes along with what a lot of people where thinking. Boyce is a talented guy, but he never was able to out-play Kenbrell Thompkins for that final slot.
Mass Live’s Jen McCaffrey breaks down New England’s 53-man roster.
Here is Doug Kyed’s initial piece on the Pats 53-man roster. My personal take on the roster is pretty simple, as there were no major surprises from Bill Belichick and company. Since the Patriots have a loaded squad, they had to cut a few quality players (see Josh Boyce), but we had all come to terms with this awhile ago. Put simply, the Patriots will be very good this year.
Most of the news yesterday had to do with the roster cuts, so here is one more roster breakdown, this time courtesy of the one and only Mike Reiss.
And finally, an additional piece from Reiss, as he gives us more analysis from New England’s cuts.
