The Patriot Way-New England Patriots News From Around The Web

Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘The Patriot Way’, your number one source to New England Patriots news and analysis from around the web.

Devin McCourty received the Ron Burton award last night at the Patriot premiere on the field event. Lee Schechter of ESPN Boston has more on the award:

The Ron Burton Award is given to the player who is seen as a community leader involved in charitable work off the field. The late Ron Burton, the first player drafted by the Patriots in the franchise’s history, set the model for how a Patriots player should act both on and off the field.

Tom Brady said it was “tough” to see former teammate Wes Welker suffer another concussion. I don’t love Welker like I once did, but it really isn’t nice to see him go through this. He is a terrific player, and one of the toughest wideout I have ever seen. I wish luck with his recovery.

From Phil Perry of CSNNE, a nice story on how Brady exercises his brain to maximize his performance.

And finally, Justin Jones was released (again) by the Pats yesterday. This continues the revolving door at tight end, as New England tries to find someone that will stick.
