One of the bigger storylines I will be monitoring is how much time the Patriots starters get tonight. We know that Tom Brady will be playing, but for how long? I honestly think it won’t be fore more than a series or two, as he has gotten plenty of work against the Eagles this past week in practice. The same can be said for other key starters, such as Julian Edelman, Danny Amendola, Darrelle Revis, and Devin McCourty.
It would be a huge surprise to see Rob Gronkowski get playing time, as he has yet to take any contact in practice thus far. I think he is still a ways away from making his 2014 preseason debut. But hopefully the rest of the Patriots starters play well in their short time on the field, so we have some optimism heading into next week’s dress rehearsal against Carolina.
